Update Deployteq Roadmap

As you know, we have recently focused on development ‘under the hood’ of Deployteq. We were also hard at work recruiting software developers. The development team has now doubled, so it’s high time to reveal our plans for 2023!

Naturally, software development is always subject to market forces and other current events. This article is purely intended to inform you about our Roadmap, without any rights being derived from it.

We see that our App push functionalities are being used more and more intensively. Over the past month, our development team has been working hard on a number of improvements in this area, such as increasing the sending speed of bulk push notifications and improving the device selection options. These have been available since last weekend’s release and existing integrations are being phased over.

We recently sent out an announcement about the importance of Multi Factor Authentication when logging in. This is already an option that can be switched on and off by users themselves, but this will be introduced as standard on our platform in the context of improved data security. In the coming months, we will work on improving the experience around this functionality. Think of extra features such as being able to reset your password without the intervention of the portal administrator, the mandatory regular adjustment of your password, and being able to reset your MFA device yourself. This means we can ensure a silent transition to this new way of logging in!

In addition, we will change the way the roles and rights are now set. We are going to add an extra layer of security, especially for partners: adding users per brand. In this way, you prevent a user from inadvertently gaining access to another customer environment on the basis of just one wrong check mark. We will also be working with ACL (Access Control Lists) in the File Manager: with this, you can grant or deny users access to certain files at the folder level.

Parallel to this, work is being done on WhatsApp for Business integration. We know that many of you would like to get started with this and that we have announced this before… The work has been temporarily on the back burner, but will soon receive full attention again. It is expected that you will be able to use this new option in Q2! This means that WhatsApp messages can soon be sent via Deployteq – and also received. You can then reply to the received messages via a campaign based on keywords, or forward them via the API or another message type to other software that is already used to communicate with customers. We will further develop the WhatsApp integration based on your input and experiences. In principle, therefore, for example, no ‘chat box’ is yet included, but it may, for example, be added at a later time based on user experiences. We also initially assume sending via campaign flows, but it may be the case at a later time that a “Quick WhatsApp Message” functionality is added for easy sending of bulk messages.

Another subject that has been on the agenda for some time, but can now really be completed, is rework to the Analytics and Reporting components. For example, the UI will be upgraded and performance will be improved, and you will soon be able to share dashboards and set KPIs. Just a little patience, we expect you to notice these developments from this summer!

The data model is used for very advanced and diverse applications. In April we will work on increasing the import speed so that even very large files can be processed within the foreseeable future.

Provide better insights in the field of deliverability halfway through this year. You can expect better monitoring options and special functionalities in the field of transactional emails, among other things. As partners, we will also actively ask you for input in preparation for these developments, so that what we are going to build will fully meet your wishes.

The eye also wants something… that’s why we will also implement improvements in the look and feel of Deployteq in the second half of this year so that we can continue to guarantee optimal usability, an intuitive user interface, and thus a smooth user experience!

Apart from these appealing new and improved functionalities, you will also see a number of things that are more related to the infrastructure. At least as important… but often not visible in the release notes. Still, we want to give them to you. After all: software that is not maintained in the back end does not have a long life. Thanks to this kind of investment, our platform has lasted for 15 years and we keep it future-proof!

We hope to have given you useful insight into our Roadmap and will keep you informed of developments!
